I feel awful.

My body aches, I am soooo tired, my head is pounding, i'm sniffling, and I'n snappy.

I have felt pants for days but today it has come out. I have been shivering all morning but I plodded on, went to mum and tots, went for lunch with my brother and his girlfriend. I got home and eds curled up on my lap for a nap, I started shivering violently and couldnt warm up at all, my body ached terribly. I moved to the other sofa and dozed and when eds woke up i dozed a little more while trying to watch him.

My headache has kicked it now and I am so tired and still so cold. I have dropped my morphine off slowly over the past few days and I wonder if that is what has triggered this. All I know is I need to get better soon.

Gosh wasnt it easier when you could take a day or two off work to recover? Now I have no chance of a day off as I'm a full time mum!

I had the flu two months ago and had kaitlyn stay with my parents for 2 days. Do you have Ibuprofen or motrin, which brings down fevers and body ache? take that and get plenty of rest...wish ya luck to feel better soon!

Hey chica....sounds more like your morphine than flu chica.

I had the same sort of thing every time I finished taking the steroids (although not morphine based they were amphet based) and I always came down with a bump and a half.

When in hospital (i know doesnt narrow it down lol) tanked up to the eyeballs on morphine, when they took me off it, the reactions were always the same, fluey like symptoms.

Be nice to yourself, wrap yourself up, and plenty of hot drinks.  Youll soon pick up again, c'mon bird this is you we are talking about!!

Steph you are right as always. I took my morphine last night and this morning and am feeling tons better - am going to come off it slower - too much too soon I think.

My hips are improving no end - managed the whole school run taking eds to school this morning and am positive about the same coming back.

I'm still far from perfect, although I'm not letting those close to me aware of that, as far as they no I am nearly mended. But the road ahead is looking less bumpy and I'm ready to grasp this summer with both hands and enjoy it with my family!

Good for you.  Just do it slowly on coming off your morphine, it takes time chica and doing it all at once is just not nice on your brain and it throws paddies at you.

Youll be fine and you know it!  Just take it easy....and for gawds sake dont try and hide it from those nearest and dearest to you, it doesnt make it easier for you.

Rome wasnt built in a day, and nobody can be superwoman....mind you if I was around if Rome was being built...might have done it in 2 days lol.

The road has to be bumpy, as thats the way it is, if we didnt have challenges to come up against the world would be a really boring place.
