Well, I've had an interesting week this week, to say the least!

It started last Friday - when dh came home from his course to spend the weekend with us. I made him a special meal, and we had a lovely evening chilling out together. It was more peaceful than normal as Becca was staying at a friend's house too! lol

All good so far.....then we were woken up at 6.55 a.m. on Saturday morning by the door. Dh went to answer it - and it was Becca and her pal, who had been staying with us on Thursday night, and had gone to stay at the other friends on Friday night (if that makes any sense lol) According to Becca they'd had no sleep and everyone was carrying on still. We were less than impressed at being woken up!!

Anyway, we all headed to the shops later then dropped Becca's pal home. Had only been in house 10 mins when her pal's dad rang - to inform us that they had all slept out in a park the night before!!!! Turns out they'd all used each other as a place they were staying - there was a group of girls and boys - they'd had alcohol (pinched from one of boys' parents) and had stayed out all night in a park surrounded on 3 sides with woods and at the opposite side of the camp to where we stay. I was furious!! We sat her down and thoroughly grilled her - pointing out the danger she had put herself in etc. The outcome is that she has no mobile phone and is grounded...indefinitely! Grrr - teenagers!

Needless to say-everyone was a bit on edge for rest of the weekend - and me and dh ended up having massive argument on Sunday - which ended with him storming off back to his course.

Cameron went back to school on Tuesday, and decided to slide right back to not wanting to stand in the line when the bell went, and crying and attaching himself to me.He did the same yesterday morning, so was quite stressed when I headed home. Then had to ring the High School as I received a letter in the holidays to say that Rebecca had received a detention for after school - but since dh is away I have no transport to collect her if she doesn't get school bus, and there is no bus service to where we are from the village the school is in. So - what with her lies, detention etc Rebecca is in total disgrace at the moment.

Anyway, was chilling out in the afternoon yest - my first day with all 3 kids back to school - when the infant school rang to say Cameron had been off colour all day, complaining of sore head etc. So I headed up to get him - and as I signed him out at the office he threw up everywhere!! wee soul.

Sooooo, Am hoping for a better week this week, starting today. Ruthie has hospital today and may get cast off, and dh's course finishes this morning, so he'll be here waiting for us when we get back from hospital! Oh and I have my scan next Wednesday too!lol

Anyway, be a miracle if anyone actually gets this far!lol! Feel better just for ranting tho!

xxx

Get yourself a cup of tea chick!

Not going to say the obvious, cos youve already done it....but hope she has trouble sitting down put it that way.

Thing is, how tough can you be.  We've all done it, or various stages of it, or tried it at least....i always managed to get caught.

The world isnt a safe place anymore, and to be honest, I think it was the same when we were younger, but there wasnt the same access to stuff...only 5 tv channels, no internet, no mobiles etc...and nowadays we are more aware of the bogie men that lurk out there.

Make her explain why she did it, why she thinks its wrong, and what COULD have happened to her.  Never know, might make her think a bit about it.

Get yourself a brew chick and try and chill out, easier said than done, but a cup o tea works wonders

God hun you have had a time of it haven't you!

I am dreading getting to the teenager stage with my 2 - I remember what I was like with my mother sometimes and it fills me with dread haha!

Hopefully she realises what she did was stupid and it wont happen again!

I hope the wee man feels better soon and you get a chance to put your feet up and relax a wee bit

xx

Oh crumbs hun, you must have gone though so many emotions and what if’s. I’m glad she’s home safe and I agree with Steph about asking her why etc. I hope she see’s sense and wakes up to the very real dangers in the world.

Good luck with Cameron (I hated it when they have to line up and not go in…. it’s hard…. But I bet if you peeped in the classroom window 5mins later he’s full of life having a blast. Will keep my fingers crossed for Ruthie and her cast, drive safely  and I hope dh is home with the kettle on for you. Good luck for next Wednesday I bet you can’t wait!

Take care hun x

No wonder you said you were so stressed out!
All i can say about Becca is that all teenagers go through a stage of rebelion, she's just trying to fit in with her mates probably.. but she's a lovely girl at heart, so knowing how much her behaviour has upset and disapointed you.. hopefully, she understands what she's doing is wrong and wont pull a stunt like that again!

I'm sorry to hear poor Cam isnt well, always happens either during the school hol's or just as they get back doesn't it lolol
I'm sure he will settle back into the daily school routine soon.. Harry used to be like that for a while, and still ocassionaly has days like that even now too, so dont panic, he should be fine once he's feeling well again given a few more days.
I hope he's feeling better soon.

Fingers crossed you will have a little time to yourself, in the near future!
Take it easy sweetie.

i remember when i was beccas age and did exactly the same thing, okay so i didnt lie about where i was,my dad thought me and a bunch of girl friends were camping out in the back garden, and we were, untill about 1am when we snuck out after drinking lots and met all our mates down  the park and kipped on the toilet roof, about 7 of us sharing a sleeping bag, lol,it was great fun and im not suggesting you should excuse becca for what she did but i can honestly say it was all in good humor and im sure if my dad had found out he would have been worried sick also but at the time i couldnt see that,i was young and naive and as steph has sed there were still dangers then they just wernt as well publicised,i think yoluv done the right thing punishing and having words with becca but it may be worth just pointing out your not punishing her for the good of your health, your doing it because you cant bear the thought of anything happening to her and try encourage her and her friends to do something more productive as a way of having fun and always be honest so you know where you can find her.....hope your week picks up hun and the scan goes well xxxxxxxxxxxxxx

God, kids eh ? I know she was extremely silly but at least she stayed safe but good on you for being hard on her.

This is a classic lie and Bex still tries it on with us but we now have a list of her friends home numbers and if something dosen't add up, it's straight on the phone to find out the truth.
