Hey ya..

As the wedding is drawing ever closer (31st August), simon and i have been talking about our honeymoon.. atm we are just going away for a couple of days to alton towers as its a really special place for us.. but we would also love to go abroad for our proper honeymoon.. problem is it will be 2 months after the wedding as we can't afford to go in peak season (sept).. so will be going in november.

Im stuck as where to go.. there are 2 places i have always wanted to go, but they both have a down side..

Cyprus.. i will have to get on a plane.. i have a major fear of flying, i wonder if i could get a sedative prescribed??

Paris.. the weather will be pants.. cost more than cyprus, lol (going to nip in to disney land for a couple of days)

Im going more for Cyprus as i would love to meet my family i have never seen, and see where my grandad was brought up. but its a 4 hour flight!!! 50 mins to Ireland was 50 mins to long!!!

What would you do?? Im really really torn between the two.

Urm i think hun first port of call would be to see your gp and sound them out and see if they could help in any way for the flying fear.

That should help you know what options are open to you.

Otherwise i've never been to either so i can't say which i perfer and why....

Good luck in your decision though hun x

I have been to both and I am just in love with Cyprus - I am going back this year for my 10th time!!!

Paris is a beautiful, very romantic city - I went with my parents a few years ago but I could see the romance of it.

I would see if you could get anything to get you through the flight - or see if you can have hypnotherapy or acupuncture or similar to get you through it. It would be an amazing opportunity to meet your family.

Where abouts in Cyprus are they?

I would choose Cyprus - ive been there and its lush, my friend got married there in october and the weather was beautiful, you could get some pills off the doctor for flying other than that get a few drinks down you before hand and that will relax you abit - ive been to Disney too fab place, expensive but it was great, i still would choose Cyprus anyday xx jue xx

Paris = cold, wet, soggy and full of french people

Cyprus = not cold, wet soggy or full of french people

No contest...Cyprus wins lol

I'd go with Cyprus too,
The sea, sun and sand does it for me.. but with the added bonus of the chance to meet your family members, im sure that would make it a trip you'll never forget!

I am going with Cyprus too, I lived there for 3 years.  The weather will still be lovely in September, eating out and sight seeing is cheap.  Paris is cold, expensive and the traffic is horrid.
