My friend has just had her baby. She found out the sex at her scan, a girl, so as you do, went out and got all pink clothes, bedding, decor, pram ect ect. She was going to call her Lola, and her others kids were looking forward to a new baby sister. However when the baby arrived, 'Lola' is a boy!!!!! Now called Robbie, all is well. She managed to swop most of the clothes, since she left the labels on. But he still has a 'pink' bedroom.

The moral to this tale, try not to put 100% trust in sexing scans, they can be wrong!

Gosh, I would be so annoyed if that happen to me to be honest.
Not all hospitals say, its not 100% guarenteed either do they, and you automatically think it is.
I'm pleased she could exchange most of the clothes, what a waste if she had taken all the labels off!
Oh, and Congratulations to your friend on the birth of her new baby boy.

Wow !!

That would be really annoying eh ? My hubby's cousins, hubby was so sure that their 2nd was a boy and they went mad buying all the blue stuff. Baby pops out, baby is a girl, . He thought he'd seen a willy on the scan but it must've been the cord.

I have been told our baby is likely to be a girl - this is great news for us as we both really wanted a girl as our first child.

However we are trying not to get too excited and carried away with the buying of cute girly clothes as it isn't 100% accurate.

It's is sooo difficult though - I am trying to keep to mutual colours but a few pinks are starting to slip in now!

Hmmmm -what is the male name for Abbi ???? :/

Hope you get your wee pink one, cuddlymum!

Lol - really hope Adam is a boy - moses basket etc are all blues, lilacs and white!

The man did say to us that it's not 100%, but he checked several times from different angles and said "There's his willie", so we're fairly sure! It certainly looked the same as Cameron's scan - and I thought I saw his bits a couple of times before the sonographer asked if we wanted to know! I may have been more cautious if he'd told us a girl as it can be less obvious on a scan. I've got my 4D scan booked for 30 weeks - would be a big shock if we were told it's a girl then!

xxx
