Sorry, I've not been on much, but I've been busy, busy, busy with renovating our home!
The original plan was to get the extension sorted out and then start on the other rooms, but in Zoe's World never goes according to plan.
I'm still waiting for the planning permission on the extension to come through so that's on hold at the moment hence one still has a bloomin' hole where the fireplace used to be. Note to myself: must post pic of infamous hole.
However, I'd been itching to sort out the boys' playroom (front of the house) and the upstairs spare bedroom for ages, but had put these on hold to concentrate on the extension. However, last week I'd received a text from the bil asking me which rooms want doing, and could I get this in and that in as he and my sister were up one more time before she pops next month.
So it's a mad rush to B & Qs and then a short wait for the 'boss' to turn up with his carpentry tools and get going.
Anyway, in short, our house is slowly becoming the home I so badly yearned for. I'm finally feeling things are progressing albeit a little slowly.
The play room has now been given a new floor instead of a disgusting black (yes, it was actually black) carpet with holes in it, and new skirting. It needs some plastering doing on a small hole where a grille used to be, a fresh lick of paint and some shelves putting up and it's done.
I'd bought huge animal stickers to stick up in the play room last year, but didn't want to waste them with the walls looking manky. At least now the boys can join in the fun - they're going to stick the stickers - lololol
The upstairs spare bedroom is being converted into a dressing room. The hideously stained, manky carpet kindly leftover from the previous owners has now been replaced by brand spanking new laminate flooring. The skirting's going on this morning. It looks light and fresh now.
I'm wallpapering that room and can't wait to get going, but there's still alot more that needs doing downstairs. The new doorframe between the dining room and extension still needs plastering, and there's the small matter of the hole in the wall so you can probably imagine although things are moving in the Bulling household there's still along way to go - lolol

Well, my motto would be, while your waiting for one thing to be sorted out.. why leave something else that could be done now!! I really love decorating, and i wouldnt be able to stop myself once the wheels were set in motion. Your house will soon be a lovely home for you and the boys, hard work and dedication (and a good sence of style lol) is all you need and it sounds like your well on the way now. Im looking forward to hearing all about it. x-x-x
