Hi,
Just wondering if anyone else has experienced anything similar or has any ideas for me.

I am 29 years old, been on the contraceptive pill for 14 years. My periods usually last 2-3 days.

The last 2 months havent been right.

Last month i came on a day late and was only on for a day (if that!!!!)and wasn't very heavy

This month, i came on on tue (22nd) evening, it was a light red, but because i had just come on i put a towel on. No sign of anything on it!

Since then, there is nothing there. i don't even need to use anything!

I know this sounds discusting, Sorry. but when i wiped myself this morning, it was dark, like old blood.

I've got period pains, feeling tired, feel bruised around my middle and have bad back pains (which i don't get while on my period)
I have also found that i have put loads of weight on recently.

I don't want to go to the docs/nurse because they are not very helpful.

Can anyone give me any clues? x

Thanks for getting back to me.

I did a test yesterday, it was negative. I also did one last month when my period wasn't normal.

I think i might have to go to the doctors, i really don't want to though. There are no female doctors at my surgery. Trying to explain womens problems to a male doctor is a pain, they just don't seem to understand!! lol

I would suggest that you do go to see your doctor, as they will offer you a pregnancy test to be certain either way.
Your period can be effected by a number of things.. stress, diet etc, so it could just be a slight change to your normal cycle... or, indeed the sypmyoms you described are related with being pregnant, but if you have been taking your pill properly, then it is unlikely (but still a possibility!) that you could be pregnant.
Either do a home test, or make an appointment to see your gp just to put your mind at rest.
