No not me this time!

Im off work at the moment, typical...my in tray hasnt gone down as we are still desperately trying to play catch up, as well as year end and various other bits and bobs.  In a nutshell for work..not enough hours in a shift put it that way.  Still keeps me quiet lol...and believe it or not it is lol!!!

Anyway, got home last night, to find Isla hobbling around.  The girls had been on the trampoline...and blatant disregard of rules from the eldest.  Bouncing to high and to hard etc (thought she could get away with it as grandma didnt know the rules), anyway cut a long story short, Isla fell down and tasja landed on her!  She hurt her ankle, so that was the end of the trampoline for the day.  I tested and checked her ankle when I got home, so was fine to leave it overnight to see how she was in the morning, fed her some calprofen and put her to bed.

This morning, she was hobbling along and her ankle was huuuuge, so asked mum to take her to the doctors just to be certain.  Off I went to work.  Id managed to unlock the office cupboards, fire up the puter and look at what or where to start first...mobile goes off...doctor says straight to A & E...so had to wait for an advisor to come in and tell them I was going...they asked if id be back in the afternoon, but said I dont know, depends on A & E..

Got madam up the hospital with mum, got her checked out and x-rayed, they were happy enough for me to stay with her, wearing the funky apron and not hide behind the glass...hmmm...yeah cos im going to leave her side..try it and see how far you get!  Turns out shes badly sprained it...so calprofun over next few days, get her to walk on it to strengthen ligaments, but when she is sat down to have her foot up...no running, no jumping, no trampolining, no this and no that...I did say...you do realise shes 4..have you got any industrial strength velcro! 

She made the nurse smile, as she wouldnt go into the treatment room til shed used the magic soap and sang happy birthday while she rubbed it in...and she told a bloke off for not using the magic soap as soon as he walked into the hospital dept..methinks isla has spent way to much time in hospitals lol.

So got home, mum shot off...I said I had to get back to work and she said she needed to get home.  So now I have to wait til about 3ish to phone work to say ive just got back...dont like that idea, but got no childcare now til she gets back.

So thats me, chilling out on the sofa.  Madam is sat here with her foot up on god knows how many cushions...a real drama queen, methinks shes going to be milking this one!

Hope she gets better quickly.

My friends ds fell off his bike today and ended up in a+e as he has cut his face really badly, hope they both recover fast.

Aww poor Isla!

I hope her sprain feels better soon and that you also get through your mountain of work!!

To top it all off...got a phonecall this afternoon...my gran is now on continuous morphine and they are upping her dosage each time.  Theyve said its 'days' now, so its a mad rush to get dad back to the country...my other nan has broken her arm and is kicking off that mum and dad are going over to see my gran hopefully before the end. 

Ive got no childcare for the next three weeks..and am waiting on my best mate from stafford to get back to me for her eldest to come and stay here for 3 weeks to help me out.

Mum wants me to recall Joe...of which no amount of explaining...it wont happen..wont go through..so oh the fun.  Ive got a beer or several and hopefully by the end of tonight ill have a plan in place!

So if erm anyone fancies 3 weeks in a teeny little village helping me with the girls give me a shout!
