SO what are your plans this bank holiday weekend?

Today me and a friend are off to Cambridge shopping - child free - hurrah!! Then we're coming back here and DH and I are doing a bbq for her and her hubby. They're staying here tonight so it will prob be a bit of a session!

Tomorrow its my aunts birthday so my grandparents are down. We are all going out for sunday lunch. My parents are away so we're going over to get my little brother first. Probably spend the afternoon/evening checking we have all we need for the holiday as tony is in france next week and gets back the day before we fly out to cyprus.

Monday we're going over to stay at my parents and if the weather holds out (its glorious today - and as Tsena will tell you, I'm dressed for it - lol) we're going to take our little boat up the river and meet some friends in one of the pubs, then stay at my parents over night.

I'm really looking forward to all the family time we're going to have as DH and I are really close at the moment. We've spent the morning gardening and the sun is shining.

So what are your plans girlies?

I have no plans at the moment!  I need to have a HUGE clearout as dh is going to take all the rubbish from the house to the tip.  I'm having a blast using as much water a I possibly can doing washing on these nice dry days!  (Can you tell we now have our water up and working???) Need to pester dh some more to get me my rotary drier, and then I can turn the heating off in the house as it's way too warm!  Also need to try and set up a website for my books, and get dh's VAT done.  I can't go anywhere until my tax disc arrives, as if I get stopped I can't supply my mot cert.  I have one, I put it in a safe place, now I can't find it.  Oh well, at least we can go out the front and play bubbles with the kids!  Hope you have a great time Madz!

Erm...lets see...tidy the house from top to bottom, of which downstairs is now complete...

Try not to murder the girls as they keep fighting, but hey thats normal.

Attacking the washing so its all done today, and if I can be bothered do the ironing tonight..but methinks the beer might get there first lol.

Going to stuff some stuff in the garage...drag out all the cardboard boxes out the shed and shove all that in the garage...get the kids toys and put that in the shed so the girls have a play house of sorts....

Write to joe, try not to get wound up if he doesnt phone...only heard from him once so far..so thats a tad annoying but out of all our control.

Give my mum a ring and see how shes holding up, give my uncle a ring see how hes doing, text my aunt to reassure her...

In a nutshell...be a punchbag for the weekend...roll on tuesday lol

Hello,

Well, we've had a lovely start to the weekend.  Drove (8 hours!!) to Wales yesterday to spend Mum2Joshua's little boy's birthday with him.  It was Joshua's birthday party today, it was sunny, the kids were happy and well-behaved and my two are now zonked out in bed after a very eventful day.  Oh, and I met MadMoo who was a diamond.

HAPPY B'DAY JOSHUA!!

It took us around 4 hours to get back - I feel like a zombie - lololol

Note to myself:  Never travel on the Friday before Bank Holiday again!!

One of my mates rang and left a message saying he was on his way up from London and could we meet up on Sunday.  My plan was to have the boys out in the sunshine tomorrow while I finished painting the skirting boards so not sure how that one will turn out...

Monday, will be about spending time with the boys, so the housework and decorating will have to wait.

And Tuesday and Wednesday are my days off work and with the boys in nursery I'll be able to crack on with the chores.

Phew!  I'm tired just typing this - lolol

Argh!  The tykes deceived me with their pretend sleeping, they're still hyper from the party.

I plan to spend the bank holiday weekend asleep.  But of course all good plans go out the window so instead I took Ols to get his haircut this morning.  Then I tied out his wardrobe to discover he has hardly anything that fits him anymore so off we went to the shops.  Had his feet measured and he needed new shoes too and a pair of wellies apparenlty so he told me.  So new shoes, new Bob wellies, t-shirts and trousers.  Somehow he managed to get a new monster truck too or was that Keith....  Now Ols is already for starting pre-school on Tuesday morning.

Maybe I will get to sleep tomorrow, hmm hang on the grass needs cutting....

lol MumSam, I'd given up on sleep a long time ago.

We cut the grass last weekend.  I say we, I mean Max and I with the Flymo.
Unfortunately, Max doesn't do straight lines so there's clumps of long grass everywhere.  Might add mowing to my ever expanding list of things to do too.

I'm praying for warm weather tomorrow.

Awww Happy Bank Hols to everyone and i hope we don't end up getting the normal rain to go with a bank hol.

Yes madz was dressed for the weather.... but half of me thought she was going after shop discounts! (did you take the buggy for all the bags you had??)

I spent the morning at the footie pitch watching my eldest train whilst juggling my 2yr old, then went to dp's mum so he could sort out her electrics and i looked after her dogs... then cooked her tea as nan and grandad (to our boys) where out covering Spalding Flower Parade..... Came home really late!

Tomorrow and monday i think will be lazy days doing bits and bobs trying to sort out little bits.

Hope everyone is ok.

I hope everyone enjoys their weekend.

I was going to tell you what happened to me today, but just bored myself by trying to type it- so you've been spared ladies!

On Monday going to try and go to a place near here that has real butterflies for Emilie to see...
