Ok my reply's going to get a tad bit tmi!

I don't get a sore coccyx that often only when i become constipated which is really easy when your on medication and the one's you mentioned in your post 'so i'm not mad then' shows you do have some in there that can cause constipation.

Now i take fibergel, as lactulose didn't work for me but i never got constipatied to the point of not going for weeks on end but if i missed a visit a day i end up sore and sluggish.....

hth.....

i do get lower back pain with the spd though..... hugs hun.

thanks you've been really helpful today, i'm actually feeling quite euphoric, which really does make a change. Can't express how relieved i feel. i Did have physio but didn't help really, i looked at the pain management site and it looks like it's all about gentle excercise different way of thinking about pain. I will give it a go and fingers crossed it will help, i am a bit scared it won't and i will be left without anything

my sister had a sore coccyx when she was pg, she went to the docs and there is a name for it, it is something to do with putting a lot of weight on very quickly putting strain on it - (she put 3.5 stone on) - he sent her for physio but as she left it so late to tell the docs, she'd had the baby by the time the appt was due...

Hun it can be hard to keep looking and searching for help when all you get is brick walls....

When you get to go for your appointment at the pain clinic, i'd ask about prolotherapy, there's a couple of us on here that are following that path, it's a mixture thats injected into the pubis joint which causes a reaction with the ligemants, causing them to tighten.... which can hold the joint in a more stable position.

If you where's slightly scared hun i'd be worried but it's unfortuantly a common feeling. Thats where the friends you'll make on this site can and will come in handy.... Huge soft hugs hun x

Have you ever fallen heavily on your bum? Down the stairs? On an ice rink? Off a chair? - Just the examples of what I have done.

I have bumped my coccyx badly a few times in the past. And therefore since then I have had trouble with it. I have pain in the whole area from my SPD so I know what you are going through.. When I am bad I use a full length body pillow and a V pillow and various others to get comfy in bed. I read til I am so tired I fall asleep in my book so I dont have to get myself to sleep.

I think you desperately need a referal to a good pain clinic. Thats where you will get the best help.
