has any of you had a letter about having this? you not your child

my letter says

AS YOU MAY WELL HAVE HEARD IN THE MEDIA THERE IS AN OUT BREAK OF MUMPS AT PRESENT IN THE STUDENT COMMUNITY, ALTHOUGH YOU MAY HAVE ALREADY HAD ONE MMR VACCINATION AS AN INFANT. iT IS RECOMMENDED THAT YOU HAVE A SECOND ONE ASAP.

CAN YOU PLEASE CONTACT THE SURGERY BLA BLA BLA!!!

I just wanted to know your views on this jab.

GET IT DONE!!!!

Having lived in a 3rd world for 3 years I have seen what devastation these terrible diseases wreak.  They don't have the access or privilege of these vaccines and my nurse agrees that there is such damaging 'crap' in the papers regarding these vaccines that it causes unneccessary scaremongering.  I also feel that if we dont protect our children then we are also irresponsible socially too.

The alternative is to not have the jab and live with the consequences

ps my nurse wanted me to come to the clinic too talk to other mums.  i feel so strongly about it i might

it hasnt really been explained to me so i dont know anything about the jab.  im gonna ring up the docs tomorrow.

hopefully they can fit me in.xx

PPS I feel so strongly about the MMR jab that Max had it done early at 11 months and his second dose a couple of weeks again
