We've had our letter to say Louis has been accepted at school and he will start at the end of sept, as the elder ones start first.  We dont get a visit by the head but we have to go to the school for a meeting in July with the head whilst they go through the curriculum, school meals, the golden rules etc... they see about 10 parents at the same time, so its really informal.

I'd imagine you would hear soon, we got our letter last week so i'm sure you'd hear before the end of june?

Id say hang on til after the next half term, and then start pestering them.  Isla starts the 8th of september...was due to be the 5th, but the headmistress wasnt sure wether to have the 5th as a training day, which wouldve been the first day back...however, our tracey gets married that day...so mum told mrs chambers that i was worried about isla missing her first day at school...to which mrs chambers said...well thats that settled, training day on the 5th it is. 

We dont have a staggered intake here.  Did at the old school...a week of mornings, then a week of afternoons then they all started full days.  If they had a staggered intake here, isla wouldve started full time school (instead of pre-school) in the january.  Ah well, nevermind, both the girls are top of the tree in the classes they are in, so thats a bonus.

Try and chill chick, but general rule of thumb is the first/second week in september.  You can still sign the contract just make sure that there is a bit in it about dates to be notified and jobs done.
