Awww hugs hun. It's annoying when things don't settle down as quickly as we want them too.... unfortunatly after a flare up it can take days for the pain to start settling back to a normal level.

I know i've said this before in a previous post but please be aware of your posture and the way you bend and carry things.... if needs be sit down whilst loading and folding washing. Try not to twist round for items just out of reach.

I hope your appointment comes though soon hun but knowing the nhs i wouldn't put money on it, sorry.

Take it steady and just keep plodding along hun.... you will get there.... just remember the tortoise and the hare.

Awww hunny you don't have to thank me....

I find once the kids are in bed i have my feet up resting and i still take an 1hr at lunch to have feet up resting in a position that i find comfy (if i find one)..... this way makes the day seem a little more managable....

Hope you get some relief and a lull in the constant pain soon hun x

jackie, i hope that you feel a little better today. if you are not happy with appointment then go back to your gp and ask for a chase up on your behalf if you have the appt then you can contact the secretary to that consultant and see how you stand with getting the appt brought forward. it really does not take alot to flare up a problem that is constantly simmering away.

you mentioned work in your post, what do you do? consider getting signed off for a length of time. you can always be reviewed and then allowed back. i am of work still and i am now involved in the occy health dept. if you have one then it's worth chatting to them and keep yourself protected.

take care

gentle hugs

sarah

thanks sarah, i work in a pharmacy, it's really busy and i'm on my feet all day, i've got a sick note to take me up to next thursday. I've been on the phone all week chasing up my appointments, they referred everything to maternity assuming i was pregnant

Anyway i have finally been told i have both appointments booked for this fri, so will have belt measured and elbow crutches. This is such a relief just knowing something is getting done. I am feeling so groggy though with the amitriptyline and co-codamol.

How long have you had the condition for, don't think work is very pleased with me as it is

take care

jackie
