Hello and welcome to madmums,

Congratulations on the pregnancy!

I'm Sammie and i am 21 and have 2 kids, and pregnant with my 3rd!

I have only one tip for labour and that is go with the flow, and keep an open mind to suggestion made by midwives!

You won't have long now, have they talked about induction yet?

Hiya.

I'm Amanda, im 26 and i have 4 children Joshua 8, Sophie 7, Shannon 6 and Harry who is 4!
Welcome to Madmums, sorry i missed you earlier, had to go before i could reply.
When was the last time you seen your gp or midwife?
I would make an appointment to go and see about being induced if you haven't already got a date yet.
I was 16 when i had my 1st, so know how scared about the birth you must be.. but what i would say is try not to panic about it, hundreds of ladies have babies every day.. its a natural thing for women to go through.
Do you have any support from your parents or family?
There must be a million and one things going through your mind right now, so your midwife will be able to discuss and explain things like pain relief with you.
Talking or writing down what you do and dont want to happen during the birth of your baby, wil help you to feel more in control of things, making you less stressed and anxious when the time comes.

Hi hun

I'm Tsena (we chatted briefly the other night). I'm 26 and i have 2 kids, 6yrs and 2yrs. I live with my dp in cambridgeshire.

Labour can be scary.... if you have a look at the pregnancy articles on this site they are quite informative about pain relief options but the midwifes are lovely people and they will look after you as if you are their own daughter going though labour, they will help you make desicions about pain relief etc.

It's daunting but if you ask any mother out there it's worth the end results.

Do you have a supportive family behind you hun?
