Lynie forgot to mention there, that she is now a wonderful Mummy to 4 children too, and 2 of those lo's are tiny twins lolololol
So it can be done, feeling can change and im sure you will be just as great once things settle down a bit more.

Grow up? Where does it say on the tin we have to do that?? lolol

Anyway hello - I'm Fee and when I found out I was pregnant with my eldest I walked around for about 5 months in a kind of daze I think!

I had no experience with babies AT ALL and to say I was bricking it is an understatement

But as soon as Ellis was born a wee switch just seemed to click on inside me and it just became the most natural thing!

You'll get there - you have only just found out so its still very early days
xx

You lot are so nice ! And Lynie, you have described me down to a tee, you really have.

I'm going out with friends this afternoon for drinks so i'll be using the old antibiotics line with them, although 2 of them know and i was all set to go to a music festival in 3 weeks time but i'm going to give it a miss. I'm not sure i could rough it and stay sober at the same time

A belated 'hello!' I'm Helen, mum to Ben whose 3 1/2. We live in Rutland with dh Dean.

Like you and a few others I was devastated when I found out I was pg. We were told that it would be difficult for me to have babies due to undergoing chemo at 13, so we brought forward our wedding by a year and decided that we may as well start trying for a baby if it was going to be a long drawn out process. However I fell pg first time!! I was gutted, so not ready, busy planning my wedding and a bit embarassed that I'd be a pg bride! Didn't want people thinking we were only getting married because of the baby. The first few nonths of pg were tough. I felt really sick all the time and resented feeling that way when I didn't even want to be pg! But as soon as I saw my baby at the first scan, everything suddenly fell into place! I feel really guilty now looking back that I didn't want my wonderful little boy!

I'm sure once you get used to being pg, that all the maternal stuff will come flooding in. Don't worry about being clueless when it comes to babies, most of us have been there, and are kids are ok!! Theres always plenty of people on here (as I'm sure you've noticed) with a huge variety of different experiences, and we're all here to help x
