As the title says.. what a night!!!

Today is Jamiee's 1st birthday, we had a quiet little party, just Me, Simon, Sophie, Taylor and the birthday girl..

All was going well, kid's were happily playing with JJ's new toy's.. then came bed time!!

Today i have turned Sophie's cot bed in to just the bed.. she is 2 in 4 day's and i don't want her to be in a cot now. Anyways, it is now 9pm, Sophie is still screaming as she want's her cot sides back..

I have been up every couple of mins to settle her as she is proper screaming, as a result JJ and Taylor are both still awake.. arrrgggg.

I have layed next to her for a while, she tried to climb over me to get out of the bed..

Im not sure what else to do now, apart from keep settling her and hoping she will eventually fall asleep.

i can see this being a loooong night!!

She has a nice pink side thing on already.. the one that stops them falling out.. lol

Simon has finished work early tonight, so he is now up there with her, as she is still awake.. if we lay with her she chills out, but starts playing.. she did start to drift off about 10 mons ago, but i coughed and it woke her.. d'oh.

you shouldn't have coughed! lol I'm dreading putting Winston in a bed, Fred is going to start having paddy strops again.  He refuses to allow Winston a bed, after all Winston sleeps in the cot full stop!  Oh well, at least if he keeps us all awake it shouldn't be too bad!

This is all new to me too, i never had any problems with Taylor.. he fell out of his cot in the morning, that night he had a bed.. no probs at all.. he was around 18 months at the time.

Im not looking forward to JJ going in to a big girls bed now.. and im not looking forward to tomorrow night.. or the night after.. or the night after that, lol.

Aww bless! Has she settled now?

My girls wasn't that bad but then they did it at the same time! You might find Jamiee will be ok!

Has she got a favorite doll or teddy? I use this with the girls and say they want to sleep in their big bed but need a cuddle! Its worth a try.

Hope she is better and settles soon! xxx

She eventually dropped off at around 11.30..

She doesn't have a fave doll or teddy.. her fave toy is a little buggy, and can't really put that in to bed with her, pmsl.

i suppose its something new to her, and will need time to get used to it.

Bless her!

Will she not sleep with a teddy at all? Maybe if you let her pick one that she would sleep with that might work! Otherwise like you said she will eventually get used to it.
