Thought I'd pass on my little development up in the middle of nowhere.  As some of you know little Winston hasn't spoken, and is in the process of being referred for speech therapy etc.  Over the last 2 weeks or so, he has started saying the occasional word, his most noticable and most understood 'ello', along with 'ded' for fred and mumaaayyyyy, as well as now duddiiiiiiii (dad). he also names the older ones when he's in the mood.  He has said hello over the phone once each to my mum and mil, today, while talking in the local shop (and my old workplace), he stood there mumbling away to himself, and even attempted to talk to someone.  I am over the moon, and to top this, the nursery Fred goes to was getting rid of some old toys (good ones, but not needed) I said yes please, while I took them down to the car Winston stayed there playing.  I was only gone 2 minutes, but he stayed there without screaming or crying! I am well chuffed, and hoping he continues to progress well!
