Was just wondeering if anyone knows if fresh orange juice is ok to drink. The carton often says product is lightly pasteurised but wasn't sure if it was ok to drink. Haven't heard otherwise.

Fresh orange juice is fine, a good source of vitamin C obviously.. but, as it contains citric acid.. it used to give me/make worse my terrible heartburn! lol

Thanks girls. Just wanted to make sure. Tbh this is the first orange juice I've drunk while pregnant and I'm almost 39 weeks  Just trying to play the waiting game but I wish the lo would decide to be nice and come a bit early. Mind you, my first was a week late.

Ive never heard if not being able to drink fresh orange juice whilst pregnant. As Amanda says its a good source of vitamin C. I actually think I drank loads (fresh orange and pineapple) I love that now and Im sure I only started drinking that when I was pregnant.

Fresh juice is fine, I've never heard otherwise and drank it all the way through my first pregnancy and all was fine.

Can't drink it this time though it gives me terrible heartburn. If you concerned check with your midwife or even drink it diluted. But i'm sure it's something they reccomend xx
