Sean is doing really well, he is gaining weight and he is feeding every 4 hours some times 5.

I am bottle feeding, tried the breast feeding but it didn't work out.

He is on avent bottles with a number 2 teeth.

The problem is that is seems to be spuing up a lot, its with the wind.

Dh says not to worry that most babies spu and to give it a week or so before changing anything.

He is a a loctose free formula so i can't give him a stay down formula.

When I bottle fed my eldest I used to give her infacol before I fed her this seemed to help with the wind.  It isn't a good idea to change formulas without giving them a good try first as it can upset their tummies.  You could also try sitting him up a bit more when you feed him I found with Ols who had reflux that this helped and don't lay him down for 30 mins after a feed.

I would agree with your dh,
If Sean is gaining weight, and only feeding every 4 to 5 hours.. then it doesn't sound like he is still hungry after being sick, so i would just stick with what your giving him now for a bit longer to see if he settles down on his own.
I used to use those bottles with a wider neck thats at an angle, to reduce the amount of air that could be taken in when feeding too.
And as Sam mentioned, try feeding him slightly sitting up in your arms, rather than laying him down flat.
Good luck.

Awww hunny i had this with one of mine.... it wasn't hunger but eyes bigger than. If there was milk in the bottle it would be drunk/eaten regardless of if he was getting full or not.

I can only add.... try giving him 4oz then 15/30mins later another 4 (or how ever much he's eating), unless he's really hungry, then try and just hold off the last ounce but you will know what he's feeling better than me.

Good luck hunny.... it's amazing how much lo's can produce.

i would say carry on as you are, hes gaining weight and going the normal kind of hours before his next feed so he cant be hungry, Molly was a very sicky baby from birth till around 6 months - she would be sick after every feed she gained weight sound so i never changed milk and was advised not to its normal for a baby to be sick as they only bring up what they dont need, goodluck hunny xx jue xx
