Well, that's hubby gone and been "sorted".  We went today to a clinic in Glasgow and had the snnnnip.  Done and dusted in 5 minutes.  He feels fine at the moment although I suspect he'll be a wee bit sore tomorrow.  (But not as sore as I was after childbirth I keep reminding him

It may sound a wee bit crazy, but we both felt a wee tinge of sadness that that's our childbearing all over with!  But hey-ho 4 is more than enough for us- we've been so lucky- but don't think we could survive another set of twins!!!

Awwww hunny it must have been a hard decision to reach and face but it's nice that you've done it together.

Hope he's not in too much pain and at least it's all sorted and you know what the future will hold. At least your young lad will be pleased that mummy's not having any more due to space in the car etc!

Hugs to you both hunny x

Can see how you'd be feeling like that. We've discussed dh having the snip after Adam is born - but I keep thinking it seems so final! lol We've both said that 4 is quite enough - and I know we're lucky and some people would be grateful to have one - but part of me just doesn't feel 'finished', if that makes sense?

Hehe - though, ask me in a few weeks when I've got a screaming newborn and I'm sure I'll be quite happy to discuss it again! lol

How's hubby feeling Lynie? My dh has been fed horror stories at work, so not very keen! Be good to be able to tell him about a 'positive' experience!

xxx

He's absolutely fine.  The procedure itself was over in an instant- a wee injection on both sides and then the actual snip.  It's a small op, just like getting your wisdom teeth out.  He's fine today, a wee bit swollen but able to move about, and just keeps topping up on paracetamol.  He's going back to work tomorrow.  I think men like to scare each other with horror stories- you should have seen some of the emails he received from his pals beforehand!

Angelica i couldnt have said this better myself

" We've both said that 4 is quite enough - and I know we're lucky and some people would be grateful to have one - but part of me just doesn't feel 'finished', if that makes sense?"

Its exactly how dh and I feel, we have been discussing this for years well since Esme was born and shes now 3 but it is such a final thing the thought of not been able to have anymore would drive me crazy but also the thought of having more also drives me crazy  lol but we have 4 gorgeous babes and are very blessed
