Well its day 2 and i have already had enough.

Why is it all my kids want to do is fight with each other?

The older 2 even went to holiday club this morning for 2 hours but as soon asd they got back it all started again.

No matter what i do they argue.

Then Abbie is being a real pain not doing as shes told and not listening jack the same actually. Holly is full of attitude and Emily keeps trying to climb up the sofa lol.

I dont feel i can take them all out together on my own as they stress me out so much i wont enjoy it

hopefully things will get better soon sorry to moan

Its only day one in my house and if I hear my just 5 yr old say "Mum, I'm booooooored!" once more I will scream. This morning he cried cos we were going out and he wanted to stay home then we've been home less than 2 hours and he's bored. Ds (3yr old) has been as good as gold most of the day. Not been able to do much today as my purse was pinched yesterday so got to wait for my new bank cards to come so no money to do much. However been to the shops and to visit grandparents.

We live in a cul-de-sac with a green in the middle and loads of other kids to play with but he's still bored. Thankfully, I am at work tomorrow (that sounds horrible) and he has a birthday party to go to in the morning,. The weeks I am working he's going to a holiday club 2 days so hopefully that will break up the weeks for him.

Hey ho, only another 6 weeks til go.

I love the school holidays.  I love spending time with the boys doing messy, fun, silly things that you cant always do because of jobs, school etc..

I have tonnes planned and make a weekly chart's for things to fill the week.  I write down things to do each day and put it up in the kitchen.  Even if the day is spent in the house, I get them to help clean up, weed the garden, help with the washing.  You'd be surprised how enthusiastic they are to help.  I tie tea towels round their waists and give them a duster, they love it.

We have plans to go to the library and join in with the team read, there is usually lots on at the library in the holidays.  We have picnics planned at the park and even one in the garden with a home made tent.

I have collected boxes from the supermarket and kept hold of our cardboard/paper recycling to make rockets and houses with them.  I let my boys make their own lunches (sandwiches and fruit/veg kebabs)

The simplest things keep them amused.  If you plan your day it goes much faster and much more fun.

If you have nothing planned or they have nothing to do, then the day never mind the six weeks will feel like an eternity to you all.

OMG Rin, you need to come here and teach me!  I really do find holidays a stuggle too.  Today was the best day so far, but taht was because ds2 was hoping to go with dh tonight to the farm, but dh changed his mind (as usual) and he was really helpful with the lo's.  I have to admit I even had a half hour kip on the chair (not recommended as I ended up with a dead leg and dead arm lol).  We even bought the sand pit in theh ouse as teh kids were really bad today, however it turned out more mess than fun for ds2 and he promptly took them outside in the rain, but he managed to get them back in the house without screams.

Its Ben's first summer hols since starting pre scholl, and I'm a bit concerned about how I'll cope too! We're both so use to him going to pre school in the afternoon and he was asking me yesturday why he wasn't going to nursery. One good thing is that mums and tots is still runnig two mornings a week, and I'm sure loads of other mums round here will be getting together to do stuff.

Ben goes back on 28th August, so only really just over 5 weeks to do!
