but sometimes you just don't know what you think! There are a group of us Mum's up at school that chat all the time. Me, Claire and Ruth are friends aswell as school Mum familiars, then there is Ellen, Jane, Kay and the other Claire who just kinda chat up and down from school.

Anyway, Jane is a really nice woman, married to a nice enough bloke called Dale and they have two kids (one Jess' age, the other a few years younger) They've always seemed like a really normal and settled family, however my friend Claire told me this morning that Dale and Jane have split up because he's been seeing another woman! I'm absolutely gobsmacked! They've always seemed like a really normal couple. Janes talked about them having spats, but just the ordinary stuff over money, him not flushing the loo, the kids playing them off against each other- just the usual stuff. They've always seeme really content, and now she's kicked him out cos she's found out he's been playing away for months. It felt really weird when Claire told me, cos I guess there are couples who you'd think are probably in that sort of relationship, but they've been married for years and Dale just didn't seem that type I haven't spoken to Jane yet, and I don't want to go rushing over and tell her I know (Claire asked me not to say anything, but just wanted to warn me not to put my foot in it and say owt daft) I'm just gonna wait until Jane talks about it herself and try and be as supportive as possible. I just feel so sorry for her; she must be a wreck.

One thing I did do when I found out was come rushing home to DH (who was just about to scooter off to work) and give him a cuddle. We're completely solid right now, but it really does make you think about how time can change relationships. It can be quite scary to think about...

No one knows what goes on behind others front doors.  Many people I know who put up a solid, united front, have ended the relationship through one or the other playing away.  It just goes to show.
