I personally haven't been sterised myself but I remember my Mum being steralised.  She was only in hospital for a day and then was home.  She took it easy for a week or so and then seemed to be ok.  It is meant to be more painful for the woman than for the man to be sterilised as it is abdominal surgery and a general anaesthetic.  Good luck.

I got sterilised at the same time as I had my last one, which was a c-section, so couldn't honestly tell you, although they do say treat it like a section.
