OK, went to the mw today and my lo is STILL breech (as he has been all the way through my pregnancy!) was holding out for the chance that he may turn (i'm booked in for a section on mon) mw has said today that "It's very, very, very, very unlikely that he will turn now" Now i'm really scared about the fact that what if i can feel what they are doing, if the spinal block starts to wear off?

Has ne1 got ne advice for what i can do to speed up my recovery time?

Good luck on Monday.

As for recovering listen to your body.  If it hurts don't do it.  Take things slowly and don't tire yourself out trying to do things that don't need doing.  As soon as you can get up and about after the op.  Big pants are a must so they don't rub on your scar.  Pillow over your tummy if you need to cough it helps stop the pain.  Take the pain killers and keep on top of the pain.  The spinal block wont' run out they top it up all the time and check that you can't feel anything.

Most of all enjoy the experience of having your baby in a calm controlled manner.

To speed up your recovery time, try to wriggle your feet as soon as you can, to get feeling back in your legs and then walk as soon as possible, and Sam is right, take things at your own pace, everyone is different. i was up, washed and dressd and in my own room after 5 hours of my epidural, enjoying visitors.

Wishing you all the best for monday, relax and enjoy,(honesly its not that bad, i've had 2)
