Hi all

It seems that over night my eldest's waist has moved location!

He's always worn trousers and shorts where i would class normal.... knicker line area/just above.... well he took great pleasure telling me today none of his trousers fit! No they're not too short all suddenly too long..... well low and behold he's flashing half his underware! if he wears them properly they're fine!

I really didn't expect to be greated by such a sight or situation till he was older! It's really puzzled me... wish i could think like a boy/man to understand it.... I wouldn't have minded if they where to short i can rectify that but when they fit and it's because he's only just convering his private area it's a shock to realise he thought his hips where his waist..... urm nope and no i don't go round flashing either!

Does this phrase last long? Any one else have this problem? I hope not it's testing enough to get him dressed without the battle of where trousers should sit on his body.

My stepson started his fashion 'stubborness' from about 7 too! lol he insisted on wearing his jeans so you could see the edge of his boxes but also insisted the hems were allowed to become frayed instead of turned up like his dad requested!  Apparently he wanted to look cool like my brother (who's 22!) lol

Didn't think boys would be so aware of fashion at that age .

Buying clothes for him now might end up a bit more costly!!

Aww bless him - sorry hun but I had to laugh - I can just imagine him walking round like a rapper!

He's a sensible boy so I'm sure if you explain to him that it is better to wear his trousers in the right place he'll get there. Has he explained why he changed where he wore them or who he had seen doing it?

You could always tell him if he insists on wearing them like that then you need to tuck the bottoms into his socks so they dont get torn. That might put him off! Or at least provide you with another giggle!

Good luck. Hopefully it was just confusion hun!
