I just wanted to say well done to my dad - Bob Walker and our friends Angie Pike and Stuart Smith.

Yesterday they completed the 13.1 mile Great North Run for Cancer Research and British Heart Foundation.

Dad did it in 2hours 8minutes - Stuart in just under 2 hours and Angie in just under around 2 hours 18minutes. They all beat the times they did it in 11 years ago by around half and hour and are all really pleased with themselves.

I dont know the final totals but I know they have made quite a few hundred pounds to be split between the two charities.

So well done guys!

Stuart is also flying out to Chicago at the end of the week to run the full marathon out there on Sunday! I think he is mad personally but I wish his all the luck in the world. He has run a number of marathons over the years and wasnt planning on running any more but couldnt say no!

I was going to add my dad is now 56, Stuart is 51 and Angie is 43 (I think). So I think they are fantastic times. They worked very hard training and all lost lots of weight. To beat there times of 11 years ago is fantastic!

I think they look very good considering they had just ran 13.1 miles!
