Right all like you all know i returned back to work last Tuesday after being of on maternity with Jessie-may, not sure how many of you i rambled to about not liking my job before leaving but really i wasn't enjoying it anymore - i work as a cashier in a shop 3 evenings a week 6PM - 10PM and i cycle to and from which is around 10 Min's away so not too bad but boy i wish i could drive lol - the thing is Ive just had a phone call from a gym near to where my shop is asking if i was still looking for hours (i rang last week as they were advertising for staff) i said yes and agreed to go for a chat tomorrow at 1.30PM its a cleaning job hours are 6PM - 11PM and again I'm going to have to cycle - do you think i should go for it or stick with my old job? take in to consideration Ive got 2 little ones do you think I'm going to be more tired and end up unhappy there? where i work now are my sisters in-laws so if i leave theres no way they will have me back and i don't at all want to be jobless - please any suggestions welcome what would you do? luv Jue xx

mmmm its a tough one especially as there is family involved, that always makes things harder....is the job at the gym every day or just a couple of days like your present job? im not sure why your unhappy with your job at the shop so am unable to say if youd be happier somewhere else?
id say though at that time of night if it is every day it prob will be v tiring as i can imagine you prob wont have chance for a morning lie in with lo..??! if its just a couple of days a week though its not much diff to your present job so that might be okay hrs wise....
id see how the chat goes and make a decision after youv met the lady who will be your boss.... hth xxx

Is there a difference in pay? Sounds like you are working because you need to, so rather than question the emotions of the job I think you need to assess the practicalities. You'll be doing 3 hours extra a week, so even if they are both minimum wage thats over £15 a week more.. will that effect any benefits you have or tax? Will you end up financially worse off if you change jobs? When you get home from your current job are you really tired? Do you think you could physically manage the extra hour an night? Cleaning work is quite lonely and you probably wont have the same social interaction you get in a shop, would that bother you?
When do you have to decide by? I hope you can make the right decision for you, let us know what you decide!

Aww hun that is a shame - but I think you have made the right decision. Although to begin with the change might have felt nice, I think long term you would still end up with the same feeling and would have regretted changing to a job where you earnt less per hour and were working longer.
Keep looking though, I'm sure something perfect will come along soon.
