I went to one of my clients today, and she is real battle axe - buts thats another story lol I was doing the jobs she requested which meant I had to go down into the out house. Down there she has a washing room with a washer etc in and not sure what else Ive never looked. I went in there today and I got a strong smell of gas. I went to ask her if she has any gas appliances in the outhouse, but she said she didn't. Her daughter was at the house today so they went down to see what I was going on about (I was disturbing her reading time blah blah blah like I said battle axe). Anyway, they also smelt something, so huffing and puffing they phoned the gas board who sent someone round within 30 minutes and talked them through turning the gas off. I carried on my slave duties, then the gas board arrived and said she had a crack in the gas cylinder for the central heating or something. He said left unnoticed it would have caused a serious explosion. He switched off the offending tank thing and said they need a different engineerer to fix that so they are without heating, but a small price to pay in reality - so you'd think. No, no I have caused them an inconvienance because they are going to have no heating for a few days at least. Please please please tell me why I full filled this good deed lol Cant wait for my boss to go round and bring her down a peg or 2 lol - I complained to them about what I was being asked to do and they are going to see her this week and put a stop to it hehe That'll teach her for being a bossy, whip cracking ungrateful woman lol

Well good for you! At least you won't have that on your conscience! People round here expect so much if they pay for help,(or get it free), they expect you to do the worst of the worst, and still whine about it. Lets hope your boss brings her down a peg or two. On the bright side you can always dream that you didn't do the right thing, and see what wonderful endings you can come up with rofl!

Ha ha Vix! This women is supposed to get a 'sit in' service. This is where she gets a couple of hours to herself and I (or whom ever) is supposed to keep an eye on her husband, and maybe carry out the occassional light duties. She has a house on the Menai Strait (you can image how big it is Vix lol.. HUGE) and she thinks she has a contract cleaner lol She gives us a list of duties, we dont get to see her husband once lol Myboss went mad when she found out lol said she had be warned before that we werent cleaners and she is going to sort it lol I dont mind doing any odd job for any of the clients I have, and I often go the extra mile for some of them but todays job list was... sweep leaves from front and rear of house (drive fits 6 cars lol), polish and hoover 3 reception rooms, same in the front door area (as big as my front room lol), clean the kitchen, dismantle stove and scrub it, clean the downstiars bathroom, hoover the stairs, then mop the corridor and conservatory. She's not getting a bad service when you think about it lol - she has us do this 3 times a week.. although on alternate days we have to do upstairs which has millions of bedrooms lol - I really think she ought to be grateful I saved her life rofl

I think you ought to refuse, if you are supposed to do 'light' duties it means maybe prepare him a meal or hoover the room he is in, but not where he obviously doesn't go. He is your client not her! And yes those houses in Menai are not just Huge, they are flaming castles!

Well no, she is the 'client' in that its her that needs time off, he has his own contract for his needs, but we stil shouldnt be doing her housework to that level. I did it first time last week because I thought I had to, and because everyone else had marked the client book as 'cleaned as requested'... but because I didnt like the manner I spoke to I brought it up with my boss when I was there, and apparently we're not supposed to be doing any of the stuff she has us doing. I bit my tongue today and just did what I was told, to avoid confrontation, as my boss is going in this week to sort it out and put her straight. I hope they go before Wednesday though lol, I really dont fancy all those bedrooms lol

Oh i would love to be a fly on the wall when your boss goes to speak to her, lol.
Be proud that you did the right thing but shame about her stinking attitude....kinda reminds me of monty burns off the simpsons lol..... rich and misserable lol.
Hugs hun at least you know you did the right thing. Her family should be ashamed at her attitude but then again if they're like her they probably know no difference.... what a shame
