Fred has now been at special school, and over the last couple of weeks they have actually been spotting a few things that Fred can't do, that other kids pick up naturally, one of the main things is his co-ordination. He can't cross the central line (pick up things on his left with his right hand and vice versa). Apparently that is important for everything from reading, writing and the obvious of doing things. Today he needed to pull ups changes, and Haf took him a different way to the toilet, which got Fred very panicky, and for a while was disorientated. After being in the toilet for about a inute or so, he was working out where he was and returned afterwards to the class the right way and no additional problems. The best part was that I have known this for a while, and it has driven dh loopy that I do things a specific way for Fred, so's not to upset him. But to see that he's been like that at special school, means that they are now aware of it. He gets reviewed sometime next month, so I'm looking forward to seeing what else they find!
