...how horrible periods are-proper ones that is. Apart from when I've had my children I've been on the contraceptive pill for 11 years. As I'm now wanting another baby I have just come off the pill again. The previous two times I got pregnant straight away and so never really had a proper period, but this time I've come off and have not fallen in the first month. So I'm now actually having a proper period, my first proper one I don't know how long and omg I'd forgotten how rotten they make me feel. I'm now on my 5th day and still going strong, whereas on the pill I'd have finished by the end of day 4 and that would have been light on the last day. I am also experiencing the mother of all PMT moments (which normally passes about a day into my period). I have put on 8lbs just in this one month and I'm so tired. My god I hope I get pregnant quickly coz I don't think I can take any more of these periods, I just want to shut myself in my room, eat and sleep (chance would be a fine thing)lol

You might find that after a few "real" periods you settle down a bit and they aren't so heavy or as long, but unfortunately some people just have natural heavy periods.  Good luck with the ttc.
