I am THE clumsiest person when it comes to knives and anything sharp.
The amount of times i have sliced my fingers to pieces is unreal, i even managed to cut a chunk out of my finger only yesterday, using the peeler of all things!
I wont be buying.. or using one of those lol so im safe.. but thanks for the warning!

I hope it heals soon, it stings like anything after the inital shock doesn't it!
Take care hun

ooouuuch, i'm exactly the same with knives, i was peeling potatos on my knee watching telly and went through my thumb. i ended up in micro surgery, sewing my nerves and tendon back together. Had a huge fishing rod thing attached to my wrist on a spring to keep it straight. that was 7 years ago and i'm still not safe, my father in law bought me a peeler for the following xmas and i always end up slicing the top of fingers off

Think i will steer well away from that then, i have been looking at them for months thinking they were the answer to everything in the kitchen

cheers for the warning, hope you heal soon

take care

Never use it without the finger guard!  They tell you that on any adverts for it.  It is an excellent piece of equipment though.  Hope it heals quickly but you are lucky a slice is all you got, they are sharp enough to take your finger tip!  tc xxxx
