I was a bit apprehensive about starting the normal pill, Cilest, after being taken off the Diante. I almost relied on that and convinced myself that was helping the PCOS pain. After talking with my doctor who said that the pain was probably under control because I was getting more regular (had 2 periods and a MC this year) I decided to give it a go. I was reassured if the pain returned he'd have no problems putting me back on Diante and giving my body more time to sort itself out. Anyway, earlier this month I had a bit of achey pain on my left side, but nothing I couldn't handle. I carried on taking the pill, and then I took my 7 day break. No af showed up in the break and so I just went back on the pill. This morning I woke up late feeling sluggish and crampy. I assumed I was just still tired, but my af showed up a bit later on. Its about 5/6 days late according to the 28 day cycle, but having PCOS I know I am likely to be irregular. Im not sure if it is good or bad that an af showed up outside the 7 day break, but for me its here and thats got to be a good thing. I have my heart set on baby #2 (no one remind me of the posts I made 18 months ago lol) in the future so now I really want to get my body on form.
Im quite happy that I seem to be getting on top of the PCOS.. I just wish the Metformin would agree with my body now lol Everytime I take it Im sick, a lot sick, but my GP says I will get used to it. My blood results show that I have very poor insulin resistance (if thats how to phrase it) and that Metformin would really help that so I'll try sticking with it. I still havent lost any weight, and lately I feel like I put inches on (although I havent put weight on) so next step is working extra hard on shifting that. Once the weight comes off my PCOS will be much more controlled anyway.
