I had no idea I was pregnant, my pregnancy was brought to my attention by an ultrasound scan for something completely different I was 18+ weeks rofl

Many home testing kits will give quite accurate results from the first day of your missed period, some even a few days before then. If you can wait then the longer you do the more accurate it will be. The tests are not very cheap, so it is an expensive event if you are having to test 2 or 3 times in a week because its negative but no af. Most brands are very good, and very accurate. They do say its most unlikely you will have a false positive, but it is possible to get a false negative. If you do the test any time soon just remember you are going to be early, and so might not get an accurate result.

Were your cycles quite regular before you started ttc? Are you sure of your af due date? I hope this is your month, and you get the result that you want. Goes without saying keep us posted lol

My cycles are very regular yes...usually 29 or 30 days...and now I'm on day 32!  And I was definitely due on Saturday...Sunday at the very latest! I'm going to get a Clear blue PT today, they are supposedly accurate 4 days before the missed period, so it should tell me. I'm so nervous!!!!! I'm actually going on holiday in a couple of weeks, and am now worrying that if I am pregnant, will it affect my holiday/flight...it's a long flight too!  x

Good luck with the test! Your holiday should be ok, but you may need to inform your holiday insurance and airline that you are pregnant. I went away 2 weeks after finding out I was pregnant and they gave me extra leg room seats, to make my journey more comfortable. It was lovely lol I think the flight was about 4 hours but we had so much room, it was completely stress free. The return journey was just as good, they really spolit us heh Let us know when you have done your test, I will have everything crossed for you!

Awww hunny good luck with the test.... i lost count how many i did to check the results.

If you are pg i don't think it stops you flying till your towards the end of your pregnancy but it's always easier like chris said above to let them know (after all honesty's the best policy).

Hugs hun x

I agree - the test should be fine and as for the flight, until the end of the pregnancy you can still fly. As has been said it might be worth letting them know but it most cases it doesnt change anything at all.

I did a test tonight...bad news though, it was negative.  I've now got period pains too, although I STILL haven't come on yet! I'm so upset...it's like my body was testing me to get my hopes up, and then as soon as I go & do a test it sends my AF! x

Our minds are powerful things.

When DP was ill a while back I wanted to be pregnant and started to convince myself that despite using the rhythm method and my cycles usually being as regular as clockwork, that I could just be pregnant despite the fact I could not argue my case scientifically for concieving when would have been the case. I managed what with stress & all to be a full week late.

I'm a great believer in fate and thing happening when they do for a good reason.

Good wishes.

I got AF through the night, and am now suffering big time!!  I'm not upset now, as it was only our first month of TTC, so we'll just keep trying. What I am upset about though is the fact that my period was nearly 4 days late, and I am NEVER late! I can't understand this as I wasn't stressing out or anything, so there would be no reason for the delay. Anyhoo....roll on next month!
