I think mushrooms would be OK in small amounts. Its on the weaning sheet I got from mums group this week!! Suitable from 6 months...

I like them in things, but on there own, I consider them to be the devils own food!! and I hate the smell of them frying!!! ew ew ewwwwwwwwwwww

I cut them up small enough and blend them with everything else! At least this way they get the taste from them!  I really must start making Fred eat more proper food! lol

from 4 months....
Chicken fricassee
Mix pieces of cooked chicken, mushroom, carrots and rice into a portion of home made cheese sauce. (You could also use ready made cheese sauce from Cow & Gate.) Puree or mash according to the age of your baby.

Mushrooms are fine, they contain very little nutrition really but as an additive in foods like a casserole or mince they are fine.  They are fairly low in allergens too.  As long as they are shop bought ones and not some you have picked from a feild, just in case they are toad stools.
