Elliott has been grotty all week, then friday night he got really red cheeks which spread to his whole face by 7pm.  Calpol'ed him and put him to bed and sat watch most of the night! He woke Sat morning the redness had gone, but spots had appeared on his right side under his eye, visited the doc's who rekoned it was either teething (cos he was dribbling loads and she could see one popping through), hand foot and mouth or chicken pox.  She said to wait and see what happened over night so here we are... this morning he appears to be clingy, more spots have appeared on his face but no where else (I think he is getting fed up of me checking him every 10 minutes!), his little hands are freezing even though we have the heating on and its boiling in here and he is appears to be losing his voice.  What do I do next? Wait and take him the docs again in the morning or take a trip to the out of hours doc? What would you guys do and any ideas of what it could be? I've seen hand foot and mouth and chicken pox loads at work (I work in a nursery) and I really don't think that it's either but i suppose it could be?!

Thanks in advance for any advice...
Ally x

If you haven't already, I'd get another appointment at docs asap if you are still worried, unless it has cleared up. Trust your own instincts as a mum is one of the best pieces of advice I was given and now understand it to pass it on.

Best wishes,
