i didnt bond straightway with max when he was born, but after about 3 weeks i did.  with tom it was instant.  i sometimes get down but wouldnt say it was pnd.  it was bad enough having the baby blues so i sympathise with anyone who has or had pnd.

I was VERY lucky. I had depression from when I was 16 (diagnosed at 18) until I got pregnant. I was due to increase my medication when I found out I was pregnant so I weaned myself off my anti d's (with the help of a councelling team) for edwards benifit.

I saw the councellers every month I was pregnant to give me support and I was warned over and over again that I was expected to get PND.

I didnt! I bonded with Edward straight away, even though my pregancy was awful and I had an emegnancy c section.

I am still off the anti d's and although I still get down days I feel much more positive than I have done for years.

I had pnd after my first but purely and simply as he was a boy, not a girl! Mom had him for the most part as I really struggled, but I didn't find out about it til I had 2 more babies and 2 miscarraiges.  So far so good with this one, don't even think Ih ad the baby blues!

I get the occasional day where I wish I didn't have him, but it's usually just an hour or so if I'm really knackered, but the way I look at it, is at least I have you guys on here, as I think I would have lost the plot months back if I didn't!

Thank you all, you have no idea how much you have all meant to me over the past months, and how seeing some things that you are going through, makes me realise what an angel I really have, except when he screams lol

aww girls, its good to know we all feel the same about the wonderful support we all give each other!

I am in the process myself as many of you know of getting myself on the even keel.  I guess I havent got PND because I dont feel bad all the time, I just tend to react very negatively to different situations, especially when times get hard or if there is a problem in our life, I dont like problems! But then who does??

I am getting thru by keeping myself busy, looking at all the positive and brilliant things that are going on in my life now and just really not dwelling on the bad things that are gone and buried, or should be buried. There is always somebody in a worse situation, I have been in lots in the past, and have now come through.

I only have to look at my 5 healthy beautiful children to count my blessings and every day remind myself things could be so much harder or different.  All we can all hope for is that our children are healthy, and that we have our own health ourselves.  Everything else falls into place, and life is what you make it!

Thanks girls for being there, you are all very special xxxxxxx

ooops sorry im rambling as usual

lots of love to all

lilybxxxx
