OK, so I've been reading my weaning books, which is never a good idea!!!

The books say that you should give your lo one serving of protein and two servings of starchy foods (potatoes, rice etc) every day. From what age do you think?

I weaned Ella at 15 weeks as she was a v hungry baby and the hungry baby milk didn't satisfy her. I've only just started to introduce meat, with some success, but she only really likes chicken so far!!! I'm going to try lamb today and fish and lentils over the next few days. I know that their natural supply of Iron is now depleting, which is why I'm using follow on milk.

What do people think? At the moment, she eats something like this...

breakfast - baby cereal

lunch - veg (and poss meat) and fruit for pud

tea - fruit with a pud of either yogurt, or custard or a fruity pud.
