I just wondered if we should start a recipe swap thread?

I am giving Ellie "Rainbow Casserole" today (sounds wildly exciting but sadly isn't!) and tried her with "Bean and Root mash" the other day which was a big hit...

I've got a couple of different books and leaflets etc with some good ideas in...the recipes are not complicated but a bit different to just mixing different veg up with meat!

let me know what you think

Fab idea!

I'm doing a stew for me and dp and going to puree it down for ed, it'll be the first time he's eaten 'our' food!

Aw Greedy - I got all excited then cos I though you were using real rainbows!! LOL!!

OK heres one I'm making later...

Egg and Tuna Bake

1 size 2 egg

1 tbsp cooked peas or sweetcorn
1 heaped tbsp cheddar cheese, grated

  1. Preheat over to gas 5/190 degrees c
  2. beat egg and milk together
  3. put mashed tuna, peas or sweetcorn into small lightly buttered overproof dish
  4. sprinkle the cheese and poor the egg mix over. bake in centre of oven for 20-30 mins or until it is well risen and turning slightly golden on top
  5. mash or puree

Can be frozen for up to 1 month!!

Hurrah!

Come on then, anyone else?

Bump to make sure it doesn't disapear into the ether...

I'm going to do cod and sweetpotato for ella tonight. I was going to microwave the cod in a little full fat milk, then mix it in with the sweet potato... Not a family meal, but I think it could be nice.

I did a stew for me and dp and have pureed it for eddie.

I chopped into medium size cubes 4 small potatos, half a swede, a dudhi (odd corgette type veggie), 4 carrots, 2 leeks, an onion and 2 parsnips (you can use whatever you like).

I browned some chicken drumsticks then put them all in a big saucepan with chicken stock (homemade and frozen last week) water and a sprinkle of mixed herbs and left it simmering over a low heat for about 4 or 5 hours.

I made dumplings for me and tony then i've picked all the bones out of the rest and blended it down for edward, he'll have it for lunch today.
