I would NEVER have talked back to my parents. They weren't overly strict but I respected them and never swore in fromt of them. My brother is worse, hes a very polite kid most of the time but he doesnt respect my dad, they play fight and name call alot and it just means hes lost my brothers respect. I hate seeing kids who dont respect their parents but I agree it is hard now as they pick up on there friends behaviour. I just hope Edward isnt like it.

(Harrysmum I sympathise with your daughter, I started my periods at 9 and had awful period pains and PMT which I didnt really understand at such a young age)

i always dreaded this time, when my boy reached teenager status as he already has behavoural special needs......but here we are and he is now a definate Kevin!

This week actually he is grounded for lying and refusing to do his homework which is a big issue.  Then there is the usual attitutude and being nasty to his sister.  Oh and he also would rather freeze than wear his coat because it hasnt got a name on it!

He was having a right strop the other day, but when I said to him 'if you really think that you making noises like Kieran is going to let you get away with this, then you got another thing coming.  Its been a long time since you been small enough & cute enough to get  away with that one'.........to which he actually laughed.  Most of the time tho I send him upstairs and out of my face because  there are usually no solutions!

And no he doesnt want to do anything either if it involves effort.  He does do motocross with his dad, but that aint exactly highly active.  He only wants to play on his ps2 or pc....and then he goes whinging to his dad that he is bored cos he hasnt done anything!......see cant win!

I do pray that he doesnt get violent now cos he is already 5' 11".......help!!!
