Hi bug..
Ella has no teeth either, but I'm still giving her finger foods at every meal so she gets the hang of things. I've done:
rice cakes bread sticks cucumber slices (quite long and thick ish - really nice on the gums!!) cooked carrot sticks and raw carrot sticks toast little sandwiches tomato (fresh) apple pear banana cauliflower (cooked florrets) Heinz biscotti rusks (didn't like them!!!) pasta - cooked and cut up cheese
It think thats it, but if I think of anymore, I'll add them in.
Oh yes, and Ella did grab a sausage off her dad's plate once but I grabbed it back in time!!!

I have to hoover and clean the floor every day under Ella's high chair cos it all gets covered in spoons, food and what ever else she can find to throw!!!
The chair gets really grim... thank god for milton!! LOL!
I really do need to invest in more bibs with sleaves... Finger foods are great, but they go EVERYWHERE!!!
My mum came round this evening, and removed toast from my hair... nice...

Ryan(8mths) has eaten everything put in front of him from the 1st day. Seemed so easy when it was pureed, now I give him finger foods and any that have to be chewed he spits out. Things like apple he loves but will not swallow it.
Is it because he is too young? Really thought we had cracked this weaning lark.!!

Ella was exactly the same when I started to introduce lumps, but she gradually got there. What age was he when you started weaning?
I weaned Ella at 15 weeks as she was hungry piggy baby, and the HV suggested her dislike of lumps could be cos she'd got so used to purees.
I found that if I gave her a breadstick, and just let her get on with it, she'd eventually eat some. I've stuck with it and she is now accepting moderate lumps. Not massive ones, but we're getting there..
