and can you give them too much??

the only reason i ask is because Louis is obsessed with the stuff

He has the equilivent of half a 7month jar of food for his lunch and a petits filous then for his dinner he has another half a jar of food followed by another petits filous

When hes finished his filous his screams for more, i have tried giving him more savoury but hes not interested i dont want to give him two pots of petits filous because i think its too much

what do you think?

hehehe are u talking the tiny pots? Megan likes the dessert version choccy n caramel...i usually give her 2! I wouldnt say there was too much personally, they are designed for children so they cant b bad for them! Obviously u wudnt go give them 6pots! But you will know when enough is enough! My limit for meg is 2, depends how relaxed u r about ur LO's eating habbits, i wont stop meg eating if she wants to coz they will only eat what they want, they dont know about glutony yet!!!

If you think it is too much, do what we do, I used to get exactly the same thing with Olls he would sit there opening his mouth after the Petit Filous was finished, like a little bird, wanting more. Giving him 2 would normally result in him being sick sometime after so after he has had his first Petit Filous I give him a biscuit to hold a nibble., we buy the Cow and Gate biscuits..

Doing this also means I get 5-10 minutes after he has finsihed eating to clear up  while he is occupied quite happily in his High Chair (Obviously we don't leave him unsupervised because of chocking), also means his not sick because he is sat still after eating his main meal which allows his food to go down. Means I don't feel guilty because he wants more and just generally gives him chance to wind down after his food.

It works well here, just an idea for you.

Fred started on thos biscuits flip, and he breaks them puts them in his mouth then promptly chokes!  As for too much petit filous, ds1 +ds2 both loved them and my logic was looking at them etc you caould have 2-3 of them and it would be the same as 1 yoghurt! Kids go through phases, and the way I see it, is of they will only eat or prefer to eat certain foods, then let them!  Ds1 can eat anything and he is still a stick ds2 looks at fod and the weight goes on and dd mixes and matches!  but then she eats loads of bananas, we've always said she's a monkey! lol Each to their own!  Ds1 used to live entirely on bread and butter until ds2 came along!  and then we used to say he couldn't eat baby food, and thats when he started trying everything, now there's not much he won't touch!

callum loves them too. he usually has 3 a day. because he suffers with constipation i have to give him weetabix with sugar mixed in for breakfast every morning. he soon got fed up with it so i mix a petit filous with it and he gobbles it up. he also gets one after lunch and one after dinner. i do find if hes full though he wont eat it all.

Those biscuits for just an example, it could easily be a rusk, a piece of banana , anything and Petit Fluis are not Yoghurts.

Ryan can take a whole big pot (iv given up wasting my time on the small 1s now) not sure how many small pots would fit in2 the big 1

I class them as yoghuts 2 since they r stocked next 2 all the other yoghurts

I dont give Ryan them everyday tho, he prefers anything he can hold himself so flips idea about the biscuits might help u. Ryan takes toast or rusk much easier than anything i attempt 2 spoon feed him
