I have changed Louis nappy this morning and noticed that all on the underside of his Tidgy he has little red blisters that go down onto the front of his 'bag'

his bum is fine no nappy rash or redness its just these tiny little blisters which he cries if i try to clean

i have put a little vaseline on it and have used cotton wool and water to clean him what do you think it could be?

He wee doesnt smell strong so im guessing it might not be an infection

any ideas? apologies for the terms used but its difficult describing 'boys bits lol'

Does sound like nappy rash.  When you bath him at night do you make sure under there is dry, as sometimes it can just be where it's a bit moist and so the bacteria has time to multiply.  I would put vaseline or a bit of nappy rash cream on it and watch it for a day or two if it's looking worse tomorrow then I would prob take him to see the hv or practise nurse at your gp's just to make sure it isn't thrush instead of nappy rash.

Ollie sometimes looks a little sore under there too when he is teething as I think their wee gets a bit stronger when they are teething.

Oh poor little man!

My only suggestion would be if it isnt completely dry after a bath/ nappy change maybe it rubs and is causing the blisters.

As Sam said carry on as you are doing and see a doctor if it doesnt improve.

aw rin i love the word tidgy. bless him.

max had a sore willy once. we think it was nappy rash. it was red raw and sore to touch so we washed it with water and dried it carefully but we didnt put any creams or ointments on it.  not even vaseline.  we left him without his nappy so he could get air to his willy and within a couple of days it cleared up.

hth. zo x
