I wouldn't like to suggest anything myself as I have had no experience with hip dysplasia. The hospital should have given you an exercise sheet or some advice if there were exercises to do that would help. If there is no one you can contact at the hospital ask your hv to find out for you she should be able to.

Baby massage!
When you massage babies legs it's a good idea to do leg stretches too.
You take her feet and gently relax the hip joints with bicycle
movements, gently peddling with the legs (one bending as the other
starightens) When you feel you have done enough 'cycling' clap the
soles of her feet toghether kiss them and blow on them (this is a good
bonding thing).
Another exercise is to let her knee bend outwards with the soles of her
feet together, gently push both feet onto her tummy and hold them there
with one hand. (Jack loves this, makes him trump like a trooper!) Relax her in this position by gently rocking her from side to side. This will strengthen her lower back too.
Finally (be very careful with this one) pull her knees together up into
the abdomen and stretch them out straight. When they are straight
give them a gentle shake.
NB: This exercises SHOULDNOT be done if your baby has joint problems
but can be used as a form of gentle exercise once joint problems have
been diagnosed as 'all clear'. If you are unsure at all see your GP or
HV and ask for some advice or for a physiotherapy referal.

Do you know when Svannah has to go back to the hospital? I wonder if something like swimming would help as you wouldn't actually be manipulating her joints in anyway but would be letting her exercise her legs in the water. The bonus about swimming as well is they always sleep so well afterwards.

Mothercare and Boots sell them too. Ollie loved swimming I just held him the first time so he didn't get scared and within 5 minutes he was laying back and kicking his legs. Do you have a freind or relative you could go with for the first time so you don't feel so nervous going on your own?
