Hi as most of you know me i thought it might be agood idea to have a prem thread...

I had my girls 8 wks early and had a rough time with all the travelling to and from the hosp. While my dp had to work away most of the time.

Also to offer help and advice to ppl who may have to go thro this or have been thro it. Or even know of someone.

I found the worst part having to go home every night and leave my dd's in the hosp...

So if any of you have a story or just need some advice just shout...

Good idea doubletrouble.  I don't know how you coped with having to leave your babies in the hospital every day whilst you went home, I would have found that very very difficult.

hi all, i had my ds at 35wks due to pre-eclampcia he was a hefty 6lbs 2oz tho, but suffered from alot of "prem illnesses" i had a 4 and a bit week stay in hopsital before and after he was born.

he had serve jaundice, undesended testical, feeding roblems, lost weight quickly and had breathing difficulties when born altho we had two lots of steriods.

he is now nearly 20months and is pretty much your adverage toddler still pretty small, as he lost alot of his birth weight.

now have a dd who is 7 1/2months and she was born only 3weeks early due to pre0eclampica again but only weighed 5lbs 15oz
