I had mine at roughly the right itme, but they failed to spot the negative d thing, for the second time, which resulted in us having to stay for five extra days and weekly trips back to the hospital as her blood appeared abnormal, she also had to take folic acid everyday for nearly three months as our blood crossed over during pg and my anti-bodies were attacking her blood, this was so stressful, i cant imagine how you all must have felt having to be there so long but i kept a dairy of our daily routine, just silly things like blood tests every day and how i felt about it all, that really seemed to help. Now things are perfectly normal but it can take its toll on you at the time.

Hi I have an 18 month old little boy, who was born at 32+6 weeks, he was 4lbs 3oz and although didnt have to be incibated, he was on CPAT for 4 days.  Unfortunately I had to travel to Salford Grt Man, to have him.  My waters started going at 31+2 days and I managed to hold on for another week.  My local hospital only took prems 34 weeks + so had to be transferred.

Although Hospital went to was nice and staff very helpful, it was particularly stressful knowing that family and friends werent near me.

Anyway after a week, we were transferred back to our hospital and we were there another 2 weeks then came home.  I was lucky enough to be able to stay in a little room specially for mums with babies in SCBU.  So I was near my baby all the time.

He is fine and healthy now and planning to try again for another late next year all being well.

Wow well welldone to everyone. I know how stressful it is alone without problems on top so not sure how you lot did it with them. I did suffer with pnd but that was after they came home i think. I reckon it started when they were still in hospital but had too much going on at the time to think about it, anyway i took medication for it and now i am fine. The girls are 14 months now. They are still small but catching up fine. xxx

Hi

dont post very often, but try to pop in for a read every now and again.

May04 found out we were expecting Triplets. We visited local hospital and Kings nearly every other week for this scan, that scan you name it we had it. At 13 weeks scan found out that baby 3 was possible downs 1/42, at 20 weeks found out that was 1/80 so better results.  As time went on and numerous scans and finding out it was 2 girls, 1 boy (lucy, jacob & Izzy) but Izzys' probable outcome was not good.

The dopplers were showing a reverse blood flow & disintegration of the cord, their due date was Feb 05, but initially decided to deliver Dec 17 04.

At yet another scan 30/11/04 we found out Izzys heart had stop beating (we had always clung onto whilst this was still beating, we have hope) and that Jacobs was cord now showing the same signs as Izzys'.  We were scanned every other day & finally delivered all 3 by c section 14/12/04.

Whilst we saw Lucy & Jacob immediately who went straight to SCBU, we didnt see Izzy for about an hour later.

Lucy was 3lb 13, Jacob 3lb 12.5 & Izzy 1lb 10.

L & J came home 5 weeks later. Time in hospital was hell, because there was always that feeling of where is Izzy. The staff were fantastic, i did have a few mad moments, but on the whole dealt very well with the situation & still do.

We have and are dealing with Izzys death, but Jacob & Lucy are doing amazing well.

They are 15 mths old, Jacob is walking & nearly running, Lucy taking her first tentative steps & their favourite saying is HI YA with anything that resembles a phone to their ear. Cant count the amount of times have lost the remotes.

No idea how much they weigh, but have 7 teeth each & giggle, cry & bash the hell out of each other, so seem to be like every other child, prem or not.

Whilst we are dealing with something no one every thinks they will encounter, life in general is good.

bit of a strange post and not really sure how to end it, so will just sign off!!

Helen

It sounds like your 2 los are doing really well! I am so sorry about the loss of Izzy, I am sure she watches over you and her siblings. It must be hard watching the other 2 grow up, but I truely believe these things happen for a reason and so Izzy is in a place of no suffering or pain.

Sending you great big hugz! You must have amazing strength  (sorry couldnt find the hugz icon lol) xxxx

*found it*

Wow thats amazing how well you have all done and what you have all had to come through. Sorry to hear about your loss but like Chris said it happens for a reason. Your lo's are only a month loder than mine and mine don't say very much and still only have 4 teeth lol... They are just now standing on their own so i know its just a matter of time before they try walking....

Anyway sending you all great big hugs and thankyou for sharing your story with us. xxxxxxxxx
