hi im new. both mine were born early.

jordan was born at 37 weeks and weighed 7lb 14oz, he suffered no problems.

Lily-Mae was born at 36 weeks by c-section doe to a failed ECV attempt which left me bleeding afterwards. She weighed a good 7lb 3oz.

She suffered from reflux since birth and has been on domperidone, ranitidine, gaviscon and variuous milk thickners ect. She also suffered from apnea and was on an apnea alarm up untill being around 11/12 months old. She is now fine tho, but still on the small size due to the problems she had gaining and maintaining her weight due to the bad reflux. shes 22 months old and weighs 22lbs

Wow its amazing that even though she was a fantastic weight that early she still had all these problems. Have they said she will get over this?

hiya, forgot to add shes been reflux free for almost a year now. shes fine now hun, apart from asthma and a birthmark shes having checks on. shes slowlw putting on weight and catching up now. she can walk, just started talking and im just about to start trying to potty train her. so its all good

thanks hun, thunk im gonna need it, she thinks the potty is a toybox and a hat at the minute lol

Hi im Sam

I have 4 children all born prematurly and just wanted to say high to you all on here and offer my support to all you with or expecting prem babies now. Im about if any one wants to talk or wants suggestions.

I was a breats milk doner and spent most of my time sat on a chair next to my babies day or night in order to be there with them. I think its really important parents should be give accomodation with or near there prem babies as the babies respond best when there around. At the end or the day if your with your baby a lot you will know them better then anyone else around and can help aid there care through that knowledge.
