max loves books by julia donaldson.  she's the author of the gruffalo and monkey puzzle.  we've got those two books plus room on the broom and the snail and the whale.  they're lovely to read too because the words flow and rhyme nicely. 

the pictures are quaint.  max likes to point at the pictures and say the words.

other titles include the smartest giant in town, a squash and a squeeze and the gruffalos child.

only problem with them is they are printed in paperback so not good for los who bite and tear!

My sister had the gruffalo 1s

I will get them for ryan wen hes a bit older, he still manages 2 ruin board books in their masses

Really grinds his teeth in2 them & dribbles all over them

i guess they are designed to combat all sorts of mauling!!

i know you can get books for babies with teething rings on them-have you tried those?
