I have got Edward up this morning to find a Rash over his body. It is on his shoulders, down his back and possibly his cheeks (He is teething so has red cheeks anyway). It is a very small light rash with tiny red dots all over. I have done the 'glass test' and that was fine.

What could it be, he seems fine in himself, should I get him to the docs? I dont want to panic and its nothing but I dont want to miss anything.

Madz, Ella has a rash that comes and goes and has done since she was about 4 weeks. Its lots of small spots - some are raised like brail and some are flat. Some of them congregate in clumps and look worse. The doc doesn't know what it is exactly, it just seems to be a reaction to something - but I don't know what!!

Does he have a temp, or is he off colour, not eating or drinking as much? If yes to any of those, I'd get it checked. If not, it might be worth just keeping an eye on it and see if it starts to itch or anything.

Have you changed your washing powder or fabric conditioner at all? Has he had any different food in the last few days?

Sounds like heat or teething rash. If you're worried though take him to gp or hv, xx.

Sounds like teething. As has been said, if you become at all worried take him to the doctor.

That sounds like it Hazel.

I have thought it through and I cant think want it might be a reaction to. He was wearing a freshly cleaned sleepsuit last night but I havent changed that I use. He hasnt eaten anything different.

He is a bit more wingey than normal but I know he is cutting a tooth and it isnt really bad, he's still playing and getting up to mischief.

I'll keep an eye on it. Thanks.

Aww hope hes ok Madz

sometimes Ryans excema can look like a heat rash but it comes in patches which then go really dry & rough

As already said if it doesnt clear take him 2 the docs 2 b on the safe side

Ryans chicken pox started out similarly 2 but became obvious blisters & sores withion 24 hours

It probably will just b a tetthing rash

I have checked his Temp and its normal but I have given him a dose of Calpol in case. He is playing in his cot at the moment with the hope he'll nod of soon.

I'll check it again when he wakes up.

Whats it like now Madz, I only just found this thread, been on and off all day in brief spurts!

It sounds like heat rash to me!  I'd only take him to the gp if your worried, if your still not sure later take a pic, and post it on here!

Thanks everyone.

It seemed to clear up during the day but in the evening we went to our local with him as we do every friday night but it was quite warm in there and when I got him home the rash was all over his tummy. I did look like heat rash so I'll keep an eye on him but its all gone now and hes fine.
