A young boy in the Bury area has gone missing. He is 11 years old and has cystic fibrosis. he has been missing since Wednesday afternoon and it is important to find him as he needs his daily medication and of course the nights are freezing!

A body has been found locally but the police stressing that this has been no way put in connection to the missing boy, they have not realised details on the body yet.

This little boy attends my old high school and lives minutes away from me. it is tragic when you hear about los going missing but this is on my door step and its horrendous news. Please spare a thought for the safe arrival of this little boy, and his family. Also to the family who have just lost a son whom it is that has been found in my local park area, may he rest in peace xxxxx

They have now arrested a 14 year old boy in connection with Joe's murder but have still not confirmed the body in the park is that of Joe but it does look likely

being on my doorstep too makes this news even worse than it would normally be.  It's scary to think that i may be sending my daughter to that school in just 4 years time.  My thoughts are with the family of the missing boy and if it is or isn't him that they have found my biggest thoughts are with that family too.

Its terrible - its so much harder to hear now I have a lo myself!

Its on the bbc news tonight. Th idea that a 14year old killed him is horrific, I cannot begin to get my head around it.

My thoughts and prayers are with the family.

One of my best friends knew Thomas Hamilton - the dumblaine killer - and most of the kids he killed. They had only moved down here a year earlier. It makes it so hard when its close to home.

Hugs to you Chris and Jen and your lo's!

I heard this on the radio and immediately thought of Christine as she lives in Bury.

I can't imagine what the parents are thinking.  It's bloody awful what people can be capible of!!!  I don't know what to say.  My prayers are with the family and I really hope the body in the park isn't the missing boy.  I think police said they would tell us tomoro.

The body has apparently been viewed by the missing boys father and he was unable to give a positive identification! I do not want to imagine what has happened to this little boy. I believe the body is being moved tomorrow where they will identify the body.

This news is really horrible and it is felt everywhere you go in town. Everyone I have spoke to are feeling the pain and there is a dark cloud over Bury
