I found with Fred it was usually wind or he was over tired!  If it was wind I'd give him gripe water in with his last feed, if he was over tired I found that it would be easier to swaddle him(wrap him in a blanket) and then rock him to sleep.  It means you not doing anything for a while while lo sleeps but it usually gives them a bit of a kip!

If it's teething it have you tried dentinox teething gel?  I have found that works best with mine, or she could be coming down with a cold, in which case I use medised as it helps with their breathing!

Hope some of this helps you and she sleeps better

xxxxxx

Ols never sleeps through but he occasionally has a night like you are describing.  I can't always find an explanation for it but I normally put it down to teething.  I think when his teeth are bothering him he wants to be closer to us and quite often find the only way to get him to sleep on nights like that is to cuddle him like Vix says, means they get some sleep even if you don't.

Emma, maybe she is coming down with a bug, or could she be teething. Did you try teething gel? Was she drawing her knees up? It could have been a poorly tummy, try gripe wayter if you think it could be that. Erm prune/orange juice for constipation. Calpol for fever. How she been tonight honey?

Maybe it was just one of those nights xxxxxxxxxxx

I use the calgel too, not sure if it does a lot but Ols likes the taste of it lol.

I haven't tried nurofen but I know Dizie uses it for Ella.

The other thing I use for teething is powders that you can get from the chemist.  They aren't the easiest things to administer but they are great.  They are herbal and are meant to help with constipation and the runs caused by teething too.

If she cut another tooth last night that's probably what was wrong and you should hopefully get a better night tonight.  Sleep well.

I'd forgotten about them powders emma!  On top of helping with teething they also settle babies tummy.  And yes I do sagree with sam they are good!  A hassle to put in the mouth, but Fred does seem to like it!
