I gave Edward his last breastfeed Saturday morning! He will be 11 months next week.

He had a disturbed night for the first time in ages. I offered him a breastfeed as a comforter and he didnt want it, I went and made up a bottle and he guzzled the lot. He had a big bottle sunday morning for mum and had a bottle feed from me this morning and is definatly having more milk than he was from me.

I havent been engorged or painful so I dont think I was producing much any more. My boobs have also shrunk - and I wasnt very big to start with

I feel very proud I gave my son the best start in life I could but also very emotional that that part of being a mummy is over.

Aww madz  do feel for you!   This is definately an emotional time, I was like that with all mine when I started and didn't do as well as you either!  But he made the switch by himself which is good! At least you have your body back now!

I am rather shocked DP asked me if I was alright with giving up feeding last night and seemed to understand how hard it was (he is normally a typical man when it comes to these things)

I am finding it very strange giving him in morning bottle but he has adapted very well. My little man is growing up so much!

Well done for feeding for 11 months!  I take my hat off to you.  I know how you feel though, you were the only person who could bfeed him, and have a special bond.

It's great he kind of weaned himself off aswell.

Hugs, x
